چکیده

2014 A one-dimensional model oriented toward a thorough understanding of line and continuum emission from a CO2 laser-induced helium plasma is presented. The model combines a time-dependent calculation of the ionization and radiation dynamics with a lagrangian hydrodynamic simulation code. Detailed collisional radiative models involving many neutral and ion excited levels are used to predict the plasma ionization state. A radiation transport algorithm including self-trapping effects and Stark broadening is developed which directly gives the spaceand time-resolved spectrum of the breakdown plasma. Calculated plasma expansion, timeand spaceresolved absolute light intensities and line and continuum spectral shapes compare quite favorably with experimental data. Time-resolved studies of Nd:YAG laser-induced breakdown. Plasma formation, acoustic wave generation, and cavitation.

The use of high intensity ultrashort pulsed laser radiation to produce optical breakdown is an important approach for the surgical treatment of intraocular structures. We have investigated the transient properties of Nd:YAG laser induced breakdown in a saline model using time-resolved spectroscopic techniques. Spatially resolved pump and probe techniques are applied to study the dynamic behavio...

The effect of self-absorption correction using internal reference on determining heavy metals concentration by laser induced breakdown spectroscopy

The identification and concentration of heavy metals, which may be so harmful for the body, is determined by the method of calibration-free laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy using a special strategy. First, the plasma temperature is obtained using the Boltzmann plot. Then, a line with an inappreciable self-absorption is considered for each element as the reference. The modified intensities o...

Laser-Induced Breakdown and Detonation in Particle-Laden Systems

Article history Received: 18-08-2014 Revised: 19-11-2014 Accepted: 26-01-2015 Abstract: Simulation of the interaction of a laser pulse with gas-droplet and gas-particle mixtures plays an important role in environmental and engineering applications. The injection of liquid droplets or metal particle causes optical breakdown on the individual droplet or particle and leads to a drop of the detonat...

Optical Opacity of Laser Induced Plasma in Distilled Water with NaCl and TiO2 Nanoparticles Impurities

In this paper, the dynamic behavior of laser induced optical breakdown in impure water was studied by using a pump- probe technique. The plasma was induced by a 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser pulse (with pulse duration ~10 ns) in distilled water with two types of impurities: (I) a solution (highly diluted salt water as a conductor) and (II) a colloidal (TiO2 in colloidal nanoparticle form as a dielectric...
